INSTRUCTIONAL PRESENTATION

Face-to-Face instruction with no masks required.

Manning will not offer a Distance Learning option.



HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS

ND Identified Positive Case:  All others in the classroom with a positive case will be notified, and parents asked to monitor students for symptoms.


ND Identified Close Contact Cases:  


School Strategies:

  Social distancing will be implemented as much as possible.

➧  Maximize space between students as much as possible when social distancing cannot occur.


➧Masks will be recommended.


➧Hand hygiene will continue.


➧Continued surface sanitizing routine.


➧Guidance for sending student home:

➛The staff determines the child is unwilling or unable to participate due to illness.

➛The staff determines they cannot care for the sick child without compromising their ability to care for the health and safety of the other children in the group.

➛The child has a fever (oral temp. above 100.4℉) along with difficulty breathing, changes in behavior, lethargy, irritability, or persistent crying.

➛The child experiences vomiting two or more times in the preceding 24 hours, unless determined to be caused by a non-communicable condition and the child is able to remain hydrated and participate in activities.

➛The individual has diarrhea and cannot self-contain stool. 

➛Loss of taste and/or smell.



In the event of a significant spike in cases, Manning may resume the Enhanced COVID-19 Mitigation Strategies listed below by board action.


Enhanced Covid-19 Mitigation

Positive Case:  Isolate at home 10 days


Household Close Contact:  Quarantine 14 days past last contact with case while infectious (10days) ~may be released from isolation after 10 days if remaining asymptomatic, and may test on or after day 5 & return after day 7 if negative.


Close Contact:  Quarantine 14 days from last contact ~ may be released from isolation after 10 days if remaining asymptomatic, and may test on or after day 5 and return after day 7 if negative.


School Strategies:

Distancing 6ft. as much as possible

Distance 3ft. when 6ft. Isn’t possible

Masks recommended

Increased hand hygiene

Increased surface sanitizing practices

COMMUNICATION

District-level communications will be sent on an as needed basis to inform parents of any relevant developments or changes to operations.  Other communication channels, such as Manning website and social media accounts, will be routinely updated to reflect up-to-date information pertaining to the school.



SPECIAL EDUCATION

Special Education personnel will ensure that each student on an IEP will receive the services and accommodations they require as outlined in the IEP.  Should a student(s) be unable to attend school due to COVID19 restrictions, the individual student’s contingency plan would take effect immediately.

PANDEMIC MEASURES

In the event of worsening pandemic conditions the following levels represent different types of responses that could be implemented if the Board deems necessary:


Level 1 ~ All Distance Learning - NO students in school.

Level 2 ~ Distance Learning with limited Face-to-Face instruction for identified students.

Level 3 ~ A combination of Distance Learning and Face-to-Face instruction for all students.

Level 4 ~ Face-to-Face Instruction for all students with Health and Safety Protocols.

Level 5 ~ All Face-to-Face instruction for all students with no masks required.
